When I teach the course, I work through the practice exersizes with the students explaining what I am doing and why with each step. It's a little slower especially when a few students stumble with a step in the exercise and I have to work one on one with them but they eventually get it.
With those that fly through it, I have them move on to the next exersize for the chapter while the rest catch up. I run through the practice exersizes on my own before instructing it.
Don't worry about messing up, it's bound to happen, either a software crash or a missed step. That's how you learn to use this software, by making mistakes and figuring out what you did wrong. This is great. I didn't expect to have this many replies. In terms of class files, I want to use them to demonstrate the features sharing my screen with the students , but I also want exercises for students to work on independently while asking me questions.
At first glance, I don't think there is enough "practice" exercises for both me to demonstrate and the students to work on. I guess it would depend upon what time constraints you have.
Some chapters have multiple practice exercises while others don't. I teach in a corporate environment, so I can keep my students away from their desks only so long. There are also tutorial model files that can be downloaded from Autodesk that you might be able to use:.
