As I said, I had checked the drive in the Control Panel Device Manager and my system identifies the device as present on my system. When I try to locate the driver through the Driver Update button, Windows can locate no driver that is better than the one it already installed - which doesn't work. As I also said, " What I am seeking is a location for a driver that is compatible with Windows 10 and my floppy drive; if you know of anywhere I can download a driver, I would be most grateful.

I think the problem is that the driver supplied on my CD ROM from Sony is not compatible with Windows 10 and my operating system does not have any suitable drivers in the existing folder.
