I have the same question Report abuse. You should see the level meter rise and fall as your voice is recorded. If you do not see the green level meter move or change, your voice is not being recorded.

If the green level meter does not move or change, check the following: Make sure the microphone is plugged into the correct port. Adjust the microphone volume in the control panel.
