I enjoyed the job, though the work could be bitterly cold in winter. Drive time out of district was paid out, and you could take the company van home. As many people have already pointed out, for technicians out in the field it is a high stress job for little pay.
You also do not get any job satisfaction for a job well done because frankly the company pushes you to do as little as possible on a job to "make it work" so they can overload your schedule for the day.
No time for taking the extra steps to make sure it's a good installation. You could wake up in the morning with 3 or 4 jobs scheduled for the AM time slot, and 3 of them could be complete installations and to make your "interval" you really need to cut corners.
And if you don't they have little games they play like assigning those jobs to other techs who aren't even working that day so they look good in Bell's eyes. Your service calls are usually a result of the previous Technician doing a shoddy job in the installation and you could be stuck there fixing it for a few hrs for a whopping 20 dollar flat rate.
